AMD GPU Support

I upgraded to an AMD RX 9070 XT. AddaxAI v6.31 now runs entirely on CPU despite GPU processing being enabled. GPU utilisation remains at 0% during inference. Does AddaxAI currently support AMD Radeon GPUs for MegaDetector and classifier inference, or is NVIDIA CUDA required?

I made AddaxAI runs on 5600XT (AMD GPU, RDNA1)

Hi @nhandros ,

Yes, I’m afriad NVIDIA GPU is required. AddaxAI only runs on NVIDIA or Apple SIlicon (M1/M2/M3/M4).

Hi nhandros,

Have you tried using the 9070 XT on Linux with PyTorch and ROCm? It seems like it could be a possible workaround, but I’m unable to test it because my current AMD GPU isn’t supported by ROCm.

Hi @Rogerio. No I wound up getting a 50 series Nvidia card so didn’t do anything more with AMD.
