"Failed to trigger first run experience" - install error

First-time installer here on Mac. I’ve tried 3x so far and every time I get stalled at the final step. Error message in full reads:

Yes! Here’s the info about my Mac. I’m also getting a new laptop in a couple weeks, so if this is complex we can just wait for that one to arrive.
