Image Filtering Upon Export

Hi, Peter and AddaxAI community!

I’m an outdoor educator who is currently managing a trail camera project for the first time. I began using AddaxAI to primarily help with the culling process of the trail camera media because I was told that it helps with identifying animals. I have a background in making natural history documentaries, and am familiar with the archiving process, but decided to join on this forum to gain some insight that would enhance my user experience since this program is more than just an animal identifying machine.

My question is: is there a way to separate images according to there verified category upon final export? (i.e. “animals” folder created with all verified photos that include the animal category)

In other words, I’m looking for a way to filter the process because, as of now, the photos are separated in a way that’s the same as how they were initially analyzed (i.e so numerical/by date as the camera saves files onto a card), but at a glance they hold no information regarding their category. So the number of files have been greatly reduced, but I still have to go through a few hundreds of photos with no sense of direction that I hope I would get given the verification process.

A follow up question I just thought of when writing–Is there a way to delete photos during the manual verification process? I have often found many duplicates of a landscape that is empty of any subject I intend to study, so having to go through them after the export process seems like more redundancy I’m hoping to exclude in the future.

I understand that some of the issues I’m facing is a symptom of AI having flaws in itself, and I’m just sharing my questions to possibly help the growth of the program. I also understand that since I’m not a scientist, nor familiar with computer programming, my options may be limited here. Nonetheless, I’ve been enjoying the process, and am learning a lot more than I intended–especially regarding a lot of the data science I’m acquiring.

Please keep up the good work, and thank you for your time.

Hi @JonaSerna,

Thanks for your message and welcome to the forum!

If you run your analysis, verify some images, and then separate them into folders with “sort results based on confidence” enabled, you will get a subfolder for each class with “verified”. Is that what you want?

If you separate them into folders as described above, you will also get a class folder “empty”. Is that what you’re hoping for?

Cheers,

Peter

Hi Peter,

Sorry for my delayed response. Everything you shared with me is exactly what I’ve asked for, so thank you for letting me know.
