Prevent existing models and PyTorch from being deleted when upgrading

Hi everyone, wondering if anyone experiences the same issue.

Would it be possible to quarantine the species ID models I’ve downloaded, and PyTorch, from being uninstalled prior to the latest version of Addax AI being installed? I had only just downloaded the ID models and PyTorch yesterday for a slightly older version of Addax so I’m reasonably confident they were up to date.

Yes! I had to re-download the SpeciesNet model after updating, and it’s a hefty file.

@stewartford That is a good question. I initially chose to delete all models after uninstallation since it makes it a whole lot easier on the developer side, (it starts with a clean slate every time you update AddaxAI). But after giving some thought it might be doable. I’ll give it some more thought and, if I find enough time, it will be implemented in the next major release
